La Martiniere SEOMP Society (Self Employment Oriented Multipurpose Programme, in short SEOMP) is a registered Non Profit Organization initiated by La Martiniere in the year 1974 with the objective of providing alternative vocational skills to the economically underprivileged youth and adolescents of West Bengal belonging to the challenged sections of the society with limited education, resources and opportunities.

The organization is registered under the W.B. Govt. Societies Registration Act, Foreign Contribution Regulation Act of Govt. of India, and exempted under section 80 G of Income Tax Act.

Over the past three decades, La Martiniere SEOMP is catering to the skill development need of the women, youth and adolescent of West Bengal belonging to the challenged sections of the society with limited education, resources and opportunities. Focus of the organization is to impart quality, affordable and marketable skills for self and wage employment and capacitate them for sustainable livelihood options.

The organization aims to fulfill this particular need of the Society through its in house as well as community based holistic livelihood support programme of training in hard skills, soft skills, entrepreneurial skills, life coping skills as well as assistance for micro enterprise building, monitoring & follow up and placement services to establish viable post training linkages. This comprehensive livelihood support package makes La Martiniere SEOMP’s programme not only unique but extremely necessary at this juncture of the country’s vital growth and development and in keeping with the vision and mission of the Society.
